Access to the CERN site is restricted during the end-of-year closure period. Any person who must access the CERN site and installations during the period from 21 December to 3 January 2025 must request prior authorization.

Each department is responsible to select the people who need to come on site during the closure period. Members of personnel must be declared in an e-group reviewed every year. Contractors’ personnel must complete a limited in time Authorization outside working hours (AET), signed by the firm and the CERN supervisor.

These access requests must be fully completed by 20 December 2024 at the very latest. Please contact your Group Leader if you need additional information about this process.
