The SCE Department is committed to meeting the needs of the CERN community and to creating an inspiring and welcoming environment.
It enhances the campus experience by providing essential services, including mobility, catering, accommodation, access, security, maps and the Service Portal, helping the community navigate the campus and make the most of CERN sites.
Science Gateway Campus
The Science Gateway Campus brings together CERN Science Gateway and the Globe of Science and Innovation, creating a unique space for education, outreach and innovation. It offers immersive exhibitions, hands‑on workshops, science events, and visits to CERN facilities, and also hosts a wide range of events.

Highlights
Natural Meeting Place: Enabling Mobility and Promoting Collaboration
CERN is constructing its new Building 777 (B777) on the Prévessin campus, at the edge of a dense forest. Scheduled for delivery in Q4 2027, this timber structure will bring together modern offices, a restaurant, laboratories, and more than 500 working stations.
Designed to foster collaboration, community, and well-being, B777 embodies CERN’s commitment to sustainable, low-carbon design.
