CERN construction projects and decontamination solutions presented at the ASCA Technical Day.
Our colleague Vincent Ricodeau was part of a dynamic lineup of speakers, sharing insights and expertise at the Palais des Congrès in Bienne on Friday 22 March 2024 at the last ASCA (Association Suisse des Consultants Amiante) forum.
Asbestiformity of amphiboles, recovery of used wood in waste management, pollutants, and disposal strategies, or diagnosis, risk assessment, and corrective measures were some topics explored in the morning.
Among these sessions Olivier Prouteau (HSE), Vincent Ricodeau, Nadia Karmass, and Benoit Vigier, also presented the Main Building (B60) decontamination project, focusing on diagnosing contamination issues, in the context of the renovation of our famous building designed in the 1950s by renowned Swiss architect Peter Steiger.
The afternoon continued with interactive workshops on the needs and expectations of construction pollutant diagnosticians, the future evolution of the profession and the field of pollutants. Should you be interested in knowing more on the topic or getting more detailed insights from the event please get in touch with Vincent!
