CERN Bike, e-bike and e-scooter Sharing
The Service provides self-service CERN e-Bicycles, CERN e-Scooters, and regular CERN bicycles fitted with e-locks, on a shared platform operated by a Service Provider.
Throughout the entire year, a fleet of 50 e-bikes is deployed across CERN sites. From June to September, an extra 30 e-bikes and 20 e-scooters are introduced. The Service offers the most adequate transport means for the needed journey, based on the users’ requirements.
The Service is available to authorized CERN members of personnel in the framework of their activities at CERN and for professional use only.
The Service is available 24/7, with a maximum usage of 2 hours per trip for e-bikes and 2 hours for e-scooters.
NB: CERN e-scooters are not allowed to be used outside the Meyrin and/or Prevessin CERN sites.
NB: The wearing of a safety helmet is a mandatory obligation for all riders using any of the Service. The wearing of a high-visibility safety jacket is also highly recommended: such safety accessories are also available for free at the Mobility Centre (Entrance A, Build. 6167) for this purpose.
