B184

This project will improve the existing CERN’s Radioactive Waste Treatment Centre (building 184). It consists of the construction of an "Access and Office Building" of about 180 m2 over 4 floors annexed to the existing B.184, which dates from 1969. For consistency with the surrounding buildings, the extension of building 184 is planned to be a steel construction with a base and foundations in reinforced concrete.

The annex will provide office space, changing rooms, showers, and a new access control system to access the Radiation Areas of the RWTC. It will regroup and extend existing facilities and transform them into a state-of-the-art infrastructure for the Health, Safety and Environment Unit.

B184 is located in the French part of the Meyrin site.
Estimated delivery: 2024
