As part of SCE’s commitment to a sustainable campus, embodied by flagship projects like the net-zero B140 and the innovative B777, the upcoming SCE Technical Seminar will delve into Green Building Certifications and their role in shaping responsible construction at CERN.

Don’t miss the presentation of Sunita Van Heers, co-founder of SuReal, and Sara Tenchini from the SCE-PPM group, on Monday 26 May in the Main Auditorium.

Sunita Van Heers is an expert in Sustainable design, Management, Real Estate Consultancy, Architecture and Business Development in different countries. As Director and co-founder of SuReal, she advises private companies and cities on sustainable built environment and processes. With experience spanning over 100 real estate projects worldwide, she brings a broad and balanced view on sustainable development across ecological, social, and economic dimensions.

Sara Tenchini, Architect and Building Engineer in the PPM group, contributes her expertise to major CERN projects. Since 2024, she has led SCE’s initiatives to secure BREEAM and WELL certifications for buildings 777, 140, and 3189. Her LEED AP accreditation and professional background in Italy further strengthen her credentials in green building strategies.

Their presentation will be preceded by a networking coffee at the Pas Perdus from 13:30.
